I have received nothing but positive feedback about the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the course and the wonderful post golf. Personally you all made a potentially stressful day really enjoyable. Thank you. (November 2022)
- Ian Dell, Senior Captain at Royston GC -
As part of my year (2024) as Senior Captain at Royston Golf Club my fellow colleagues always look forward to the "Captains away day" . This is a major part of the year with expectations of playing on a new course with facilities to match. To ensure they would not be disappointed in my choice of venue, during the Autumn of 2023 I personally played at 7 courses within 1 hours drive of Royston, taking along a playing partner to verify my own thoughts.
Immediately we arrived at Rushden Golf Club the ambience, the friendly welcome by the staff - office, bar and greens - it was like buying a house. "This could be the one". The course matched the service and clubhouse facilities. It is testing, but also forgiving with regards to seniors golf and provides memorable features that will make anyone want to go back.
In the meantime the longer term relationship between Rushden and Royston has already been cemented, in that annual fixtures will be played home and away, proving what a little due diligence and the ripple effect can create. Long may the relationship continue.

Congratulations on the condition of the course it was great considering the recent weather. Everything about our day was first class from the buggy to the friendly bar staff who are a credit to your club. (September 2022)
